The analysis of Caesar's military strategy and tactics during the climactic campaign to defeat the rebellion led by the Gallic commander Vercigentorix is excellent. The graphical docudrama effects (including some cartoonish violence) in this 40-odd minute video are initially mildly diverting but ultimately distracting; you may want to watch, or just listen to the audio track.
The video concentrates on events that Caesar records in Book VII of De Bello Gallico, but also provides the background to Caesar's lengthy series of campaigns in Gaul.
